The South Bay Teen Pregnancy Prevention Coalition (SB TPPC) exists to promote healthy youth relationships through increased awareness and prevention efforts that result in responsible youth behaviors that are supported by integrated systems throughout the South Region of San Diego County. The desired outcome of the Coalition is to decrease youth pregnancy rates in South County. Coalition objectives include: increase awareness of teen pregnancy issues and increase teen pregnancy prevention efforts. To achieve these objectives, the Coalition coordinates two Teen Pregnancy Prevention events each year.

In celebration of National Let’s Talk month, in October of each year, the SBTPPC sponsors a FREE event for the entire family. The event is held annually at a local middle school and offers a parent education class, both in English and Spanish, where parents can learn how to have those difficult discussions with their children about sex, puberty, healthy relationships, and self-respect.   While the parents are being educated, the event hosts games and activities for youth. These "event stations" center on the same themes as the parents, but are designed for a younger audience.
In celebration of National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month, in May of each year, the SBTPPC sponsors a FREE event at a local high school. The event is organized during a lunch break and features interactive activities and games for youth that help them undertand the importance of making good choices about their future. Events are hosted through partnership with member organizations and feature educational and community resources.
The Coalition meets monthly on the second Thursday of each month at 9 am.
